I was asked to create a poster with the design direction of: “capturing the essence of winning a goldfish at a state fair in the 1980s, DOS, and zines” for an Independence Day alternative event more focused on being a part of a large community, rather than flags and patriotism. This event image needs to look (also) “like an invite to a backyard BBQ” and be inclusive to all ages, races, and cultural demographics.
