What is an Atlas for?
Maps of the way we move in our communities look very different for someone driving a car, someone taking the bus, someone walking a dog, a pickpocket, children on a treasure hunt, and pigeons. (Pigeons aren’t too different from drunk squirrels who think they can fly.) The People’s Atlas of the Future examines the history of the community and how it informs our place in it today, and allows us to dream about what we want to make in the future!This is an event and program design for a historical walking tour series of downtown Denver. Along with the event design, we collaborated to create an interactive program that featured hand-sewn transparencies showing the highlights of the tour.
