Warm Cookies of the Revolution

I have been the Art Director for Warm Cookies since 2012.

Combining the vision of founder Evan Weissman to increase civic engagement, we have collaborated to create a non-profit organization that is as visually inviting as it is effective in the community. Since 2012 I have loved learning and evolving my/our design style and storytelling to represent how Warm Cookies has grown.

Website Design

For the new Warm Cookies website, we wanted to show a more colorful, edgy aesthetic that captures how our organization feels – warm, welcoming, vibrant, and impactful.

Program Images

The focus of Warm Cookies is civic engagement.

We work with residents to take crucial, boring, heated, or otherwise challenging issues and make sure that they are as accessible and disarming and engaging as possible, for people who are least likely to show up and take part, so that they have a say in their own history, present, and future.

I have created images for live events that collaborate with everything from circus freaks, lowrider car clubs, comedians, mariachis, food battles. Our goal is to connect regular people to connect and have a say in the decisions, storytelling, and culture work of their community.

Interactive Designs

Each Warm Cookies event comes with it’s own specific needs and opportunities. Depending on what the topic is, we have made everything from board books (for adults!) to interactive brochures. We have always focused on making printed pieces that are visually engaging and multi-use.
